If the swing spout on your kitchen sink is hard to move from one side to the other get it lubricated with some plumbers grease before the ‘O’ rings wear out and it starts to leak.
Faucets with two handles are simple to grease with instructions from your local hardware store manager.
The other types require turning off the water supply under the sink and are a little more complicated but doable by a handy person.
See the new Delta Touch20 Faucet, it is very cool:

If your refrigerator has the motor underneath as most do, check for dust build up on the wire cooling grill behind the toe kick vent. The vent snaps off and you can see underneath with a flashlight if dust or pet hair has stuck under there. Remove the obstruction with a crevice tool on any vacuum cleaner. A clogged cooling grill will cause the refrigerator to run longer and cost more on your electric bill. It also can cause the compressor to burn out prematurely.
